I am currently a talented and dedicated secondary school mathematics teacher who is teaching in an academically rigorous environment.

I have been teaching for 19 years, and I have been teaching at a middle school located in Bowie, Maryland since 2008. Throughout my 19 years as a mathematics teacher, I have created instructional solutions such as self - paced instructional videos, interactive notebooks, classroom learning management systems, and job aides, which have assisted students, parents, and colleagues, in order to create a better quality of life and accountability for those involved.

I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematics and a minor in Psychology from Marist College.

My instructional solutions have shown an increase in student learning by 5%, and learners have used techniques that were learned from my instructional solutions with resounding success.

I am ready to use my instructional design skills that I have learned throughout my teaching career to the instructional design team at your organization.  Throughout my career, I have been able to work as a team in order to create materials that are rigorous, challenges student thinking, and allow students to create innovative solutions.

For example, I led a team to create a project based learning lesson for students to build a case for or against if animals should be held in captivity, and encouraged them to create innovative solutions to improve the quality of life for animals.

Another example is when I led a team to come up with a student accountability and rewards system.  We recorded the data using a learning management system.  Using this system, we noticed that student behavior that needed improvement decreased significantly.

My career goal is to create educational content and instructional strategies that will improve quality of life for employees.  If the quality of life for employees improves, then their happiness improves.  If the happiness of employees improves, the more effective the employee is at completing their job.

I will be an additional positive influence on the environment in your organization.  Thank you so much for your time and consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
